Confuse with Xell, Xellous and XBR

The guide that Big _Ted wrote for us and thanks for that involved installing the images one after the other. Is it not possibe to install XBR without going through the Xell and Xellous first ? What is the purpose of these steps ?

Just finished 2 error free dumps. Took me 10 attempts and only work after I have earthed the console to the pc. Should I do the jtag hardware hack now before the installation of Xell and the like.

I think that you should have jtaged it first

Yeah i did all my wiring before i did anything else so not much help from me i'm afraid.

I've flashed them before without doing the jtag wiring but it won't boot

Trust me it's a
much quicker way of doing it and easier IMHO

If you are using usb you can do a direct read and then write as it dosn't take long.

The steps are for lpt:, xbr/xellous are to allow you to ftp/httpd to your box and use the much simple, faster and safer method of flashing.

You need the jtag wired to be able to boot xell

Thanks ! I see. I have followed your steps to eighth point. I can now see the DVD and CPU keys. Only need to flash XBR.
