Default Liverpool Are The Real Threat!!!!!

Thought it at the end of this season, and its the definately the case.

Liverpool are the main title contenders to Arsenal........ and it would only take us one slip and the boys from Merseyside would be in the lead.

So congratulations to Michael Owen on breaking his bad streak, and something that will ultimately benefit the England national team.

But with my Arsenal cap on, I hope the `Pool boys screw up.

For the good of the national team it's good to see him firing again. I still think Newcastle will come good as the season progresses. Hopefully if Terry Venables remembers that David Batty is on the Leeds pay role, we may rustle up some good enough performances to get us back up there.

Liverpool definately have the advantage..... a squad almost the size of the population of Oxford.

Think some of the worst decisions are being made by Peter Reid at present, why take your new found goal scorer off, and some of the choices he made in the Newcastle game were just plain awful.

Thanks PSXRing, althought we have not shown our full potential yet we are still getting results and doing well in the league. Man U are going to have to string some results to keep in the chase. But the best is yet to come from Liverpool, but Arsenal are the team to beat..

    Boro...? Was that a joke?

Liverpool losing points against the wrong teams? Who is a "right" team to lose points against? Liverpool haven't lost a game yet!

    Cam, is that you?

Gunner, like`d to prove that i`m not blinkerred like Man Utd were in previous seasons..... and can realise a credible threat.

If the team continue to play at the form that they have to date they we shouldn`t have a problem.

Auxerre will be interesting as they`ve done well in the French league, and teams like Middlesborough though couldn`t go the distance to winning the league they`ll test our metal as they are very much like Man Utd (were) in style.

    we lost points against
    newcastle,outplayed them for 80 minutes 2 up,then almost lose the game ends as a disappointing 2 - 2 draw

also againt Birmingham 2 - 2 draw, let a goal in injury time (should be teams like this if we are going to mount a challenge for the title

You can play great football for 90 minutes and still get beat. Just ask Newcastle! Unless you can hit the back of the net more times than the opposition it doesn't matter.

Liverpool are a serious Championship contender, but come on we've had 8 games this season.

Quite a long road ahead to win the title, anything could happen.
But I doubt it will include Middlesbrough finishing top 10.
