[HELP] PS2 Default DVD Parental Password?

Hi Just bought a 2nd Hand JAP PS2 Machine and have just been putting it through its paces on GT Concept.

However I thought i would see how it plays DVDs so i chucked in a couple and when i got to Ghostbusters 2 it prompted me to :

Would you Temporarily Like to change the Parental Control to 8?

Then it asks me fora 4 digit numeric passcode.

I know the lad i bought it off chucked the box away ages ago and he prolly never even read the instructions so it is fair to assume that the passcode is still original from new (defualt).. is there any default 4 digit Code that i can try ?

It is a Jap SCHP-30006 R model if it help anyone?

Its ok i found it and it seems to be an UNIVERSAL CODE cuz it works on me JAP one and a US Ps2.

I work for EBGames so i fortunatly know how to correct this problem. What you need to do is load a DVD movie. Once it is playing press select to get the menu, and press X over setup. Then go right over to custom setup. Go down to parental control and when it asks you for a password enter it. If you dont know the password press Select and enter "7444". then u can register a new password and change the level strength of the parental control.

And Works 100% First Time but just remeber to have a DVD movie playing that is of equal or less to the Parental Control number prior to changing the PW !!
