I'm presuming it's your PC?. If so, just reset the CMOS (either remove the little battery for a minute or two or see if there's a jumper to do this). That will reset the BIOS and you can go in and reset the floppy option.
Remember tho' that resetting the CMOS will revert the BIOS back to its original state, so any modifications you've done will be lost.
m8 cheers for the reply. done as u said and checkedd the bios settings and it is setup as 3 1/4. will give u a bit more info on how i caused the problem. What ive done is ad a cdrewriter to my system . Thats when the probs started. at first the floppy wouldnt work cause i had cables on the wrong way but think ive sorted that. Have noticed that i have now got a d e + f drive only had d + e before cause i had an external cd writer the new one is external. when i look in my computer the a drive is still 5 1/4. hope u or some one else can help. all im trying to do is make a boot disk for win98se so i can firamt my hard drive. is there a way to do thid using the rewriter?
dont be rude with your 5 and a quater floppy :
