Default Is this at all feasible for running copied GC games?

Instead of selling an addon device, just find a way to hook a usb cable to the modem port and run the game right from your PCs hd or dvdrom? Then sell a pressed 3" dvd that tells the gc to start reading data from the modem port?

    no....

Why all these stupid topics with everyone's own idea to copy GC games. I'm sure any idea you can think of has already been attempted, and obviously failed. Accept the fact that if Gamecube is cracked it will be by someone much, much smarter than you.

to be honest, it seems like shit is happening by any other groups or people online. so if you got the means to try your idea and feel you want to, go right ahead. most things people don't want you to see, get into or do are done by casual people toying around.

granted mod chips and such are done by intelligent engineers but with nothing going on in the gc scene (or lack of being told anything) i think it's time people stop thinking "ah well someone else is gonna do it, and my idea isn't original because someone else has tried it" and get on with it.

its a great idea, just as storing games/isos on the xbox hdd was a great idea..

the only problem is that in order to furfill that idea,
you've got to do some serious coding/hacking,
as evo-x did with the xbox scene.
(ofcourse also the modchipmakers, coders etc of the scene.)

It might be possible if someone can motion sutch a thing,
but most likely nothing has happened because none has been able to do that, yet.

dunno the transfer rate of USB exectly, but wouldn't that be too slow?

I say way to go for Nintendo. it's been what, a year since GC was released in north america? Still not cracked. They have done something that the giants at MS could not do with the Xbox. I own a GC, I would love to be able to play backups, but this is a very good thing for Nintendo.
