    Halo dirty/damaged disc error

Just playing my way through Halo and I got this dirty/damaged disc error message.. I checked out the newsgroups and apparently its a prob with the hard drive cache of the save. The only way around it is to start a new save or buy a memory card and copy the save.
Now I have the goldberg pack of evox installed (great stuff btw ) and was wondering if the prob could be fixable by playing around with the halo save files...? No hits here on searching about the prob.. I'm guessing its not a common prob then..
    Cheers peoples!

I get the problem running Halo from my HD and sometimes connecting to online games.

I also get it now and again with Outlaw Golf.

To clear the HD cache all you need to do is boot from a different game as the partitions on the HD that are used for caching get blanked when you change games. Rebooting with the same game makes no difference
