    Default Van Dammes next......

do any of us still care??

well actually i do - i love his fims that are out of the spot light, ad i LOVED 'Knock Off'

Ringo Lamm is directing one of them, and he is a top man.....

Jean Claude Van Damme's Next: The action star was in Madrid recently to announce the start of production on two new films of his. "The Tower" (aka."The Choice") he will write, direct and star in this $16-million budget flick as a retired race driver in Thailand who falls into a coma. That's when he has an out-of-body experience and appears inside a tower divided in levels (the level of logic, the level of fear, of love, etc.) and has to fight to get to the top Donkey Kong style (oi!). Then comes "After Death" to be directed by Ringo Lam ("Maximum Risk") and follows the story of a guy who goes to China to help a friend and finds him dead (it gets 6th Sense-ish after that).

    hard target does rule

not because of van damme - but because of John Woo's direction.......he is the daddy of directors!!

are we talking about the same person?

the same guy who made derailed and in making it made a movie like under seige 2 actualy look good?

jcvd hasnt made a decent movie since no retreat no surrender, bloodsport and kickboxer.

if you havent seen derailed yet then when you get it rent a copy of bloodsport then watch them side by side and tell me van damme is still any good

Universal Soldier, Timecop, Hard Target? Also liked Double Team, Replicant and Knock Off myself!

Van Dammes getting some good directors behind him, Woo (Hard Target) Tsui Hark (Double Team, Knock Off) Ringo Lam (Replicant and the upcoming Monk) so heopfully he can carry on making good action flicks ... apart from the Order

i agree with you demonic fish, the directors that he is working with of late are second to none - and i like the hong kong style films that he is making at the moment.
