    Default CD labels

    Hiya all

Just a quick question, has anyone had any problems with their discs after they have put a cd label on them?

    Cheers

i know some old psx's used to have problems when putting one on, but there was someone on this forum, cant remember his name now, but he actually said that putting the labels on made any of his non bootable games boot, so in fact he said it helped them go figure.

best thing to do is do a spare copy of a few and test it out see wot happens

I've had very poor results with labels on XBOX DVD's. The XBOX has a poor DVD-ROM drive to begin with and the slightest wobble caused by adding the label makes many games unworkable.

There are new no-wobble DVD labels out now that are supposed to resolve the issue, but I haven't tried them.

I modified an epson printer to print on inkjet printable DVD's, so I don't worry about it anymore. =]

Just to add my 2pence worth!

Ive only ever had problems booting with labeled discs.

2 that always came up with the dirty disc error message are now ok since removing the cover. It has to come off completely and be left clean but work flawlessly now.

I will NEVER put a label on a disc from now on!
