nhl 2003 - razor - crack.exe is a script virus?

I am posting here because ISONEWS forums are down.


I installed the Razor release of NHL 2003 and copied over and renamed the crack.exe to nhl2003.exe (seemed odd it was ill-named) - anyway when I go to run the game, Norton Antivirus popped up and said that nhl2003.exe was showing 'malicious virus script' behaviour - and then it was also trying to connect to this ip:

Remote address,service is (24.64.223.200,http(80))
Process name is "C:\Games\NHL 2003\nhl2003.exe"

Very strange - has anyone else experienced this? is it possible that I got a tampered copy?

I've discovered that the reason that NAV was complaining is because NHL2003 uses Internet Explorer 6 with heavy scripting for its menu system, which NAV interprets as virus-like behaviour.- it is not a virus - just tell NAV to allow the script - so happy gaming.
