Fastest CDR

Just wondering how fast some of these burners are in the real world.

Please add your results for burning a full 80 min audio cd from MP3.

I've got a Mitsumi 32x, 1800XP and it takes 4 mins with Nero.

I have a Liteon 32x , P4 2.2 and it takes 3 mins with nero on 24x !

I have a 900 Athlon and x16 scsi Yamaha and it takes approx 4 mins with Winoncd 3.8.

That beautiful word - SCSI. Absolutely pisses on EIDE. I've had SCSI burners since 1x but I made the switch to EIDE in January.

Yamaha have just released a 44x SCSI burner - I want one.

Me too. Got a Yamaha CRW4260 at the mo, do you think an extra 40x might make a difference?!:signs:

who burns at full speed anyway , its a lot safer to burn at half the max speed

i always burn at 32x

got my self the 48x12x48 liteon on my older machine (see siggy)

and getting about 1.5 min
