virgin give unlocking codes

Hi for a number of years now I have been buying virgin phones because they give you the code to unlock it so today went to the link and bought 2 v50 for myself and the wife on virgin came home phoned them up wanting the unlocking code, and they tell me that because I did not buy it from their store they don't have the code so do you dudez think that the link should give me the code ?????

The link will not give it to you, as they won't know it!
I'm not sure, but I think Virgin are right in saying that they only provide codes from handsets purchased in their stores.
However, I thought they only gave the code if you spent £30 in top ups on the phone? Maybe you ought to try that and then ring them. But don't mention that you bought it form The Link.

yes I know I only use my virgin simm so spent more than £30
