Nokia 6300

I have an old Nokia 6300 handset that I legally owned in this country on Vodafone, I also have a Vodafone account in Spain where I use another old phone. I would like to use the 6300 abroad but when I put the Spanish Sim in it asks for a restriction Code. Im presuming it needs unlocking and I know that its a BB5 phone. Is there anyone that can generate such a code for me from the imei Number or is it a hardware unlock only? Anyone can offer any help it would be much appreciated.

I believe it is a hardware unlock only, I paid £7.50 to unlock my one.

OK thanks mate, so the best thing for me being in Manchester I imagine is to take it to Strangeways, I was told however that as its a legit phone that I have owned for some time, that Vodafone would happily unlock it for me? Is this correct? As it does just ask for a code, its not like im unlocking it to use on another network. The spanish sim is a vodafone and my english one is vodafone.

if you do decide to go to strangeways then go to a shop called skyline accessories, this is directly behind a shop called gordon bennet/piere ramon. i always go there as they are official resellers for many unlocking product and know the game, everyone else there dont know shit
