Renualt Laguna Key blip
My Key blip packed up this weekend. I know its the blip cos the spare works fine and ive changed the battery. Renault want a fortune for a new 1 and even more to 'intall it' on the cars immobiliser system.....robbing *******s. Any suggestions as to someone who can supply these cheaper etc.
P.S im told by the mechanic that its the led that goes on them, so im tempted to find out what sort it is and get a new 1 soldered on. What do you think to that idea as well.

Do it man, what have you got to loose, open it up and find the LED (make and model) then go to www.farnell.co.uk or www.rscomponents.co.uk or maybe www.maplin.co.uk and order 1. Prob cost about £1

How can i tell the model mate? All i know is that the battery is 6v and led is soldered onto the board, looks easy enough to change though

i don't think it would be the led cos they are quite had to damage (unless they are plugged in the wrong way round, which is unlikely).
i dunno if im n the right track here but me m8s toad blip just broke and although the led flashed when button was pressed it didnt do anythink? now the prob was the button was fecked inside (too small to fix,impossible) it was constantly shorting out draining battery if it can be changed id try change it sorry i know nothink of renaults blips the parts should be availible from the likes of maplins?
