Help needed on burning Ikaruga

I've just downloaded Ikaruga, and already made 2 attempts at burning it.

I have Discjuggler v4.01.1002.PROD, uncracked demo version (Only burns at 1x), and have succesfully installed Aspi Layer 4.6 (Aspichk says I got everything). I also put DJ to burn in Mode2, TOC:CD-Rom/DVD and Block 2336.

Still, I get this when it tries to start the 3rd session:

(CDB: 5d00000000000000000020000000, Status: 040002, Sense 052400) Illegal field in command descriptor block

I had this error 100s of times in the past, but since I haven't burned a DC selfbooter in a LONG time, I can't remember what to do to get rid of it. Bear that I have an HP8200 burner.


Anybody can help ol' me? :|

go to http://cdirip.cjb.net
get cdi2nero and convert the file for use in Nero. Burn away

Yeah, I knew that alternative, but I'm short on HD space. I don't have the spare gig, and I don't really have anything that big I can delete (no games installed, just the minimal soft, and needed files here)

My brother just remembered that I had to switch the PFC.INF provided in DJ, with another one, which I have here.

Could this be it? (I don't have any 80-min CDRWs to fool around with, and I'd rather minimze coasters)

I though this game was released as a nrg. When I got this game I just burned it with Nero, no problem at all. Maybe you could look for it again and get the Nero one since it so small.

i had a few friends have probs burning Ikaruga same as you...set to mode 2 and all. I have the same DJ, an HP burner. I always set my .cdi to burn as mode 1, and never a problem. tried that one yet?

screw discjuggler....get daemon tools...mount the image...use nero cd copy...might say possible read error...hit yes anyway...hasn't screwed up for me once for about 12 games.

Ive been having the same problems..tried with dj4...nothing...then converted with cdi2nero..another coaster..then I just gave up.

I also tried DJ4proD, and that froze on 100% cache, then didn't start writng. I used cdi2nero, then burnt with nero,
after setting the right destination for image to burn too,
it worked. COOL GAME!!!

I had similar problem on my first try.
Then I just changed the media from Yamaha 80min to a TDK 80min, and it worked. I don't know why.
It's mode2, 2352, cd-xa
btw, did you uncheck the "add post-gap"

you have to write in RAW mode

a few games do this

I´ve burn´t it using v3.5.800


get the daemon tools and install it.
mount the cdi due rightclick on the tray-icon
>virtual CD/DVD ROM > Device 0 > mount image
fire up diskjuggler
coose cd player to cd image
choose the new source "V386 Stealth DVD"
choose start :-)and save that.
now go to CD Imagage to CD Recorder and burn it.

Using DT works fine with other
DJ>3.5 images, AND you can use isobuster
on those images well.
No changes in DJ are neccesarry.
