    Default MP3 MD Players

    Ola peoples..

I'm after some info from you guys.. I'm looking for a MD (minidisk) player that I can put MP3's onto directly without having to convert them to a different format first!

I'm not sure if you can get them, and I have tried looking via google, but to no avail!

If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.. Also if this is in the wrong place, then can a kind moderator move it..!

    Thanks in advance

i dont fink ther'll b many of them. one of the advantages of mp3's is no moving parts, an advantage you take away if you put it on minidisc. I think the closest you can get is the netmd, and even though it might have to convert is it really that bad?

U can get Net MD which u can transfer MP3's to, a whole cd takes about 10mins to transfer.

But the tracks are not in Mp3 format

    does this help?

    Yeah, thanks guys

I know mp3 players have no moving parts, but the media is too expensive, where MiniDiscs are 60p for one, which can hold up to 4 whole CD's..

I'll take a look at the sony and sharp net md players cheers

Sony does a player that integrates with their laptops. But I have just pugged my stereo into my computer, so I can record direct to MD as soon as I play the MP3 in winamp.

Is that a real time recording? i.e. if you play 60 minutes of songs, will it take 60 mins to record?

i've got that set up and yes it is. Plus if ur hifi dont automatically detect the difference between the tracks it will all b one long track unless u seperate them by pressing record each time you do a track. On top of this none of the tracks are named. A nice quick fix but aint perfect.
