Laptop to Pc Networking - Whats my cheapest solution

I have a laptop which I have a lot of files id like to stick to my pc and burn off with the cdrw . Would it be cheaper for me to just get a usb cdrw or to get it networked?

The files Im gonna be transfering are film size and are a few hundred meg.

u can pick up laptop network cards for £5-10 on ebay

with prices being so low... just get 10/100 cards (big names [xircom, 3com etc] are always better for instant o/s detection).

it is cheaper to link them instead of usb cable (which is even slower)... you'll also need a cat5e crossover cable (length depends on you). It's a doddle to set up and should cost you more then £30 all in.

another option is to get a 2.5" hdd usb caddy.... use your existing hdd or get another one (eg 6GB for £25).... then transfer onto your other pc... but it is slower. usb can take its time.
