I have 2 Dell LS sub-notebooks, Magnesium cased.
One of them is under Dell warranty until mid 2003 and has had practically everything replaced, it's more or less a brand new laptop.
These are about the same thickness as a DVD case and roughly the same size as 2 DVD cases side by side and don't weigh much.
All these were replaced by Dell warranty in the last 3 weeks on the PIII-400:
Keyboard, touchpad, modem/LAN, PCMCIA reader, Top LCD housing, LCD, Motherboard, Top casing (Palmrest etc) and fan.
It still has the protective plastic on the casing which you can see in the pics.
The other Dell is the same model with a PIII-500 CPU and is in superb condition too.
Neither of these come with CDROM drives or Floppy drives (Like most subs) but will accept them through either PCMCIA or USB ports.
