Default looking for a router....please help

Just looking for a bit of advice...

I currently have an adsl (stingray) usb modem on pipex. I'am looking to get rid of the the usb modem and install a adsl router.

Which will in turn allow me in attach another pc and also my xbox (for xbox live when available).

I don't want to switch my pc on everytime when i want to use my xbox on xbox live service i just need to use the internet connection.

Will this be possible with a router, if so what do you recomend. got about 80 to spend, can go to 150 if need to but not much more.

    Thanks alot

    Bp

I'd be interested in hearing from people too, as I'm considering having a router but stuck for choice. I'll be after hooking up 2 towers and 2 lappies to it.

Mate, I've had a look about and for an ADSL router it's a bit tight at eighty quid.

D-Link do the 504 - you can pick one of these up for 0589+VAT at www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk

Higher up the scale you've got things like the SAR715, Vigor 2600 & the Speedtouch 510, but they're all either at the top end of your price

To be honest though, the SAR & Vigor have a rep for releasing beta versions of the firmware though - functionally theyre good but if you get a problem you may be stuck for a while.

Personally I'm toying with the ZyXel 652 or possibly the 650 wireless version.

Still waiting for the reviews on adslguide.org.uk

We have the vigour usb router at work. Must admit it was a pin in the rse to set up with an intel usb modem ( was designed for the stingray) and only a newer firmware update got the beast running. Been ok since though, was about 150 though
