There may be very old fruits knocking about in seaside arcades that can be beat, but in a casino / bingo club / bookies you would be very hard pressed to beat the machines.
Although there was 1 machine you could force it into not paying by cancelling off all wins. Eventually the payout % would be so low it had to pay something out. It usually paid out £202 in the roll feature for a stake of 9 x 0.25p plays. 3 x £25 jackpots then 1 x £25, 1 x £15, 1 x £10, 1 x £2 then 3 x £25 jackpots
There was a spate a few years ago when the law changed to allow £500 jackpot for a £1 stake. There was design flaws in the PC software that allowed the machine to be manipulated.
Another favourite I have seen is prize the start button up and by using a kitchen gas lighter you could (not any more) short out the power causing the hopper to dump.
This was more used on motorway service stations where there is not constant coverage.
I have seen or heard of very little machine scams over the last 2 years other than just blatant theft.
Got money to lose & don't mind losing it play fruit machines. If not steer well clear as a £10 loss can quite quickly become a £100 loss in minutes & that's when the acusations of it's 'fixed' start.
