lottery monery should only be spent on those who can take part. NO MONEY whatsoever should be given to any organisation who is planning on spending as much as 1p overseas or on those who are in this country but are not brirtish (ie naturalised). NO MONEY WHATSOEVER should be paid to any organisation whos membership do not take part in the lottery for religious reasons, that way the lottery funds could be used to help the retired/disabled armed forces, the elderly and infirm and children, i am not saying just the community fund, but all the lottery funds should pay out to those who pay in, not take the british peoples money then spend it on unwanted scum who come here exactly for these stupid handouts or to spend it overseas.

Charity begins at home...... and it should stay here untill we have none of our own people in need of care or help before we spend any on deserving cases overseas and under no circumstances whatsoever should any money be given to any organisation or individual who does not belong here or who has no right to be here or who does not see our country as home.

    Or is it FACT???

If it is fact then those of us who contribute to the lottery are subsidising a bunch of shirt-lifters,dykes,tarts,sad b*stards whose mutts have croaked, and the usual sponging asylum seekers.....i for one dont see the moral justification in this, lets put OUR OWN first.

Im pretty shocked that some of the "good causes" money is being spent oversees as surely it could be put to better use in our country (i.e. he NHS).

As for the Gay/Lesbian money - it is part of our society now but I havent heard of any hetrosexual helplines so wtf are they getting money for theirs? If your gay then you will have to have made a big decision about your sexuality at some point so theres no need for the gay switchboards offering advice.

Give the money to projects that the people of the UK will see the benefit of instead of wasting it on something that isnt even in our own country I say. The knocking back of the ex servicemens organisations is in particularly bad taste. So many of their collegues died fighting to keep our country free and that must never be forgotten.

    Rant Over. lol
    I had a blind date tonight, her name was :. .:. : ... .::

Christ, some of you people are so narrow-minded and show absolutley no compassion. I wouldn't mind if you enetered the lottery on account of all the good causes it contributes to, but no, you enter it in that vain hope of becoming rich. How the f**k can you moan about where the money goes when that isn't your motivation for handing over your £1.

And if the charities the lottery contributes to upset you so much then you know what to do, don't buy a ticket, but I suspect you'll probably still carry on playing because deep down you really only bothered about winning some money.

    wtf?

Some of these posts I couldn't believe what was written.

    "no heterosexual helplines"
Samaritans? Red Cross? BBC do a f4ck load of teenage and sex related helplines.

No compassion is about right Czar, I completely agree and support the sentiment that money is being wasted on causes that may not be as worthy as others, but that's not to say that those causes aren't worthy.

Who is anyone to dictate where money is spent for the goodwill and help to all people. imo as long as it goes to help people wherever they are then its a good thing.

From some of the views expressed here it would seem that some people would want a lottery just for homosexuals, the old and anyone not from the UK

Do any of you actually KNOW who buys the lottery tickets? You think no gay asian or old people buy lottery tickets.

    sickening

We know old people are buying tickets, which is why we are so pissed they gettin the bulk of their requests turned down Also who sed nething about asians? Its the fact asylum seekers are gettin the money not people who were actually born here, pay taxes and contribute to the economy. If asians are full british citizens, have full legal status in this country, follow british law and contribute to it like everyone else im sure you will find that no1 on these forums has a problem with them. As towards poofs needing a helpline coz they're not sure if they actually are gay i'm sorry but is it obvious only to me that money can be better spent?

Did i ever say that poofs werent people? No, i just sed that this to me seems to be money wasted and if u want a better cause to give money to try looking at the list of refused causes, i personally cant see one there that is less deserving than a gay hotline. If u disagree with me fine it doesnt really bother me but this is the way i feel an judging by the other posts im not alone. Wat eva ur own views and beliefs are doesnt have nething to do with me, i may not like them but i aint stopping u from having/expressing them,

@ CzarJunkie Is that why they changed the name From
THE NATIONAL lottery to LOTTO. When it was call the national lottery i was under the impression that any contributions from the "lotto" was coming to this country. This money that WE the English raise should stay in this COUNTRY.
And yes we put money on to one day (hopefully) win a fortune, but I always presumed any charitable contributions went to GOOD british causes.
AND I don't think you have read the origanal post properly or if you have you are against the english.
    just my opinion
    LOVE Colin
