I like the sound of this...
Hdrlabs recently announced its DS Open Camera Control Project (OCCP) which allows users to control their SLR remotely with the aid of a Nintendo DS.
The company came up with idea while working on Night at the Museum 2. They wanted a system whereby they could shoot HDR images that exceeded the normal functionality of their Canon cameras.
The idea behind the OCCP was to create a portable, long battery-life, pocket sized camera control. Rather than using the normal tethered system of shooting which involves connecting your SLR to a laptop, the company wanted something much smaller.
The result was open source DIY system for turning a Nintendo DS into a camera control. The system is capable of time lapse photography, motion sensing and being triggered by sound. It is also compatible with a whole range of DSLR bodies. For location photographers the system is great news. Photo-kits are heavy enough, without a laptop attached. This system makes things a lot lighter. <End>
I found more from HDRlabs here http://www.hdrlabs.com/occ/ and here's how you make it http://www.hdrlabs.com/occ/hardware.html
