Well guys, the winter months are here, so how about we all post some suggestions on how to keep our cars running along nicely ?
I won't claim to know all that much - except never put engine coolant in the washer reservoir !
cheers,

i agree.. my mate had his head gasket change and put on a new cambelt last chrismas but the bloke that did the job didnt put antifreeze in..the water froze the water pump and his cam belt either split or spapped. my mate in question doesnt know much about cars so he carried on turning his engine over.....very very costly and all cos of a few litres of anti freeze...
A few things to check at this time of year really..
Antifreeze is top of the list though, you can buy testers
Make sure your battery is good, now that lights and heaters are on more often
Tyre depths and pressures
most garages off a winter check up for about £15. Mostly looking for extra work but you do get piece of mind when its done
Im off to a place of worship and wont be back till closing time
