Default DVD-R burning error with Pioneer 104 firmware 1.32

I am having a strange error burning dvds with my DVD recorder.
I use Stomp RecordNow MAX, Windows XP, NTFS.
Even though the recording process goes fine, the resulting DVD-R has an error of writing around the 4gb area of the disc, close to the end.
If you try to read it, occurs a SCSI/IDE error sense...
    The media is TDK 2X.
    Any help?

RecordNow MAX never worked for me. I use nero or primo, both are better.

If your using XP, make sure you're in PIO mode and not DMA or auto on the IDE channel the Drive is plugged into.

I've been using DMA mode on WinXP with my 104 since I bought it a few months ago and I've never had any problems. Is there something else to it that I don't know about?

With my settings at DMA, it kept erroring out about half way through the burn. Once I changed it to PIO (as per the Pioneer Website) it worked fine every time.
