one runs at 133 the other runs at 266 mhz - the DDR stands for Double Data Rate - twice X 133 = 266.
ITs faster and better if your motherboard can handle it - if your memory is already running at 133 - then dont buy this. Newer mothers handle it - older one dont.

my motherboard user guide states that it provides 2 sockets for 168 pin unbuffered sdram dimm (double in line memory module) modules and supports the memory size to 1gb. The socket supports 256mb technology.
My board is a MSI 6378

sounds like pc133 to me and even if its pc100 i doubt you'll find any that cheap.
Yeah that board won't take DDR memory.
As BigBadDog says you need PC133
thanks for the replies I'll stick with the pc133 ram
It's currently selling at www.eclipse-computers.com for 16.39

SDRAM has 168 pins and runs at 66, 100 or 133 MHz.
DDR RAM has 184 pins and comes in various flavours such as PC2100, PC2700 (333MHz) or PC2400 (very new)
Only fairly recent motherboards support DDR (Double Data Rate - can read and write to memory at same time)
You can also get both these types of RAM for laptop computers but they have less pins.
Hope this helps.
