    Default Anyone know re.Sky

I have an expired sky card working on ch4 etc but not bbc (i.e card not married to the box).
If one phones the bbc can they marry it to the box so it will work as a FTV card or do they have to send out a new bbc card.

As Wizer says, the BBC will not be able to do anything other than send you a new card. But you may as well do that anway, it'll cost you nothing.

I know m8, but not in the UK, so I figured it would be easier to persuade someone to make 1 call, rather than arranging card etc.

    Thanks anyway.

Sorry Spraky, should have looked at your whereabouts before answering Bear in mind though that in the new year, it is possible that the old cards may not work too well anyway, so it may in the end be necessary to get someone in the UK to order one for you.

You may have a problem with getting the card turned on as they will request the card number, which will have been allocated to a known address.

Your best bet is to get a friend in the UK to 'phone 08702 438000 and request a FTV card. They can then post it on to you. You may have to give the serial number and make of your digibox. If this is registered to you in IRL then you may have a problem. However, your friend could say that he bought it on e.bay and is the new owner.

With the last 3 that I've done for people they haven't bothered with the box serial number Robbie, you can always say that you are not at home when you make the call, that'll normally solve the problem if they do ask.
