I got this email from SVP communications today:

How to get a new Pioneer 105 DVD Rewriter weeks before they are available....

    The shop for blank discs

    Hi Paul,

Around the world at the moment there are just a few early releases of the new Pioneer 105 DVD Rewriter.

There are reports of DVD media manufacturers paying thousands of pounds for these drives!

We've got our hands on one of these recorders, and we'd like to give it away to one of our customers!

Every customer who buys one of the following products between 13th Oct and 20th Oct will automatically be entered in the draw:

    Any DVD-R media
    Datasafe CDR media
    White Label CDR media

You can enter as many times as you want, so what are you waiting for?

Winners will be notified directly and details posted on our website and also on the well known DVD industry website, www.dvd-recordable.net so everyone can see that the competition has been run fairly.

Get your order in now and take your chance in the draw

    Good luck to everyone.

They are officially not released for another 6 weeks. When the drive is released it will be £249.99
therefore you're only losing around £790 per week on something which does the same as an A04 just twice the speed
    fcuk it

Aye but the media companies can get these early so they can get testing their media before the drive is released to the consumer market - if they can make sure their media works with these drives as soon as they are launched think of the extra cash they'll make from people buying their disks whilst the rest are playing catch up and trying to get an equivalent media out...

Woah that was a long sentence
