Xbox free with cornflakes

Aparently kellogs were going to pack in an xbox free with every pack of cornflakes, until they found they couldnt fit them in the box

Seriously though, this console is falling flat on its arse and companies are competing on how low they can go with the price in order to clear their unwanted stocks before xmas, anyway the latest to get the dumping xbox habbit is argos... http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/commer...g&thisMode=ols

but with companies doing their best to get rid of them, is anyone actualy going to be stocking xbox by christmas? and is there realy any point in buying one (assuming you havent already) because companies just wont make games for a console that doesnt sell.

And of course they aren't getting rid of their stocks in preperation for the Controller-S and two game Sega bundle are they?!?!

I bet as soon as that pack is available that all these offers end.

i doubt it, we arent getting the controller s bundle, only in america. and the bundle has 2 games for £158 so i would imagine the machine will stay at the £130 mark.

It hasn't 100% been decided yet if we are getting the Controller-S in pack or not.

And like I have said elsewere, games cost very little compared to the hardware so bundling in games with the hardware is just a cheap way of adding in value to the product.

games may cost the least to produce but they make the most profit, according to billyboy the xbox was sold at a loss when it was £300 so whats happening when its £130 or whatever?

i seriously doubt the reason for the xbox pricedrop is due to poor sales, as far as i knew its about even with the cube on sales,

i recon willy gates has his heart set on destroying nintendo and sony and if it means he has to lose billions doing so he can do it.

The cube's outselling the XBOX 2 to 1. I was gonna get an xbox, but I think I'll get a cube now. there's only about 3 good games out for the XBOX.

Sadly for m$ its a set of figures repeated the world over, xbox isnt doing quite as badly in the usa, but still losing out to ps2 and cube and in europe the cube : xbox 2 :1 from japan is more like 3:1.

my old man has started a part time at argos (most over qualified shelf stacker ever i think) anyway
he know jack sh1t about consoles and games etc, but he phoned me up and told me that the exbox before christmas will be sold for £99.99..he also said that a game will be about 20 quid but you get a free memory card....
is the xbox going to be a big flop like some of the other great machines?
