Modchips work on current PAL-X-Boxes?

Hi.

I consider buying a X-Box. Because I live in Germany it will be a PAL-version. Recently I heared some rumors about modchips like X-Ecuter and ENIGMAH not working on the current X-Box versions. Is it true? Won't there be a working modchip?

Yes, a new bios will be released soon that will work on the new Xbox's

So would it be better to wait for that new Biosrelease till I buy my X-Box?

Or should I buy one of those flashable modchips? Like ENIGMAH? Does it mean that the actuall X-Ecuter-Chip won't work on the current X-Box?

How does flashing work? Can I do it with my PC, though I'm no expert?
