[n00b question]how to burn DVDR?[/n00b question]

Since a couple of days i've got a Philips DVD+RW burner and downloaded 2 DVDR's but hav'nt got a clue which program to use?!
Nero doesnt work, can't handle the image (.img)
Did'nt found this question (and so answer ) anywhere....
Please: Who can help me out?

Try using PrimoDVD. I think it works.

If Primo doesn´t work ( doesn´t like my dvd+rw) try Stomp Recordmax
