Default Help finding software for a JVC GZ-HD30EK

Ive bought a second hand camcorder which came with everything but the original software disc, this camera is an HD one and is in the AVCHD format?

i have tried pinnacle express and ive tried cyberlink but nothing works with this

im connecting via usb (mini usb out on cammy) to USB in on the pc, i can view the pics ok but the video will not capture.

in pinnacle express it captured audio but no video and in cyberlink power director it just says no compatible device.

can anyone offer any help with this as im pulling my teeth out.

the usb cable was one supplied by JVC and thats the only pc connector on the cammy as i can see.

    your help or advice appreciated.

does it not come up as a mass storage device when plugged into usb ?
i know pinnacle studio 14 handles avchd ( .MTS ) format fine

i have a panasonic full hd hd/sd camcorder and when plugged into usb it detected as a mass storage device so it's just a case of copying the files somwhere and editing with pinnacle studio 14
the biggest prblem with full hd ( 1080p ) is you need a fast proccesser to edit the video which i found out when i tried on my p4 running at 3.5gig you really need duel/quad core

it looks like the orig software is called cyberlink powerdirector 6 , cyberlink power producer 4 or cybrlink power cinema ne according to jvc but i think you allready know this just download it from the usual places i think there up to ver 8 now

i would have thought as long as the pc recognises the camcorder as a mass storage device any hd editing software the recognises .mts ( avchd ) files would be fine

i thought id share something with others.

i have found the software to be corel videostudio x3 and it finds the camera np's, need to have a play around with it but so far is working ok.

thanks to all who have replied

i thought id share a way to get any program you want, cracked without any fear of virus or problem with the legit software. simply download the free trial's of any software using a free/temp email addy. then run a search in google like this:

    core keygen *corel-videostudio-x3 rapidshare.com

usually core keygens are fine and you will be using the legal free trials so no hidden suprises, secondly just buy kaspersky internet security 2010 and run the keygens in Safe Mode which lets them run but do nothing to the system, this lets you get the serial you need for the program.

*change this to whatever program you need.

i have only come across 1 program i cannot find a crack for so far using this method.

I think I have the exact same camera. I have the utility cd but tbh the program i thought was crap, crashes quite often. Let me know if it's of interest.

Also if it is the same camera I'm thinking of, make sure you have decent light when filming otherwise your recordings will come out grainy.
