Please. Who Can Help Me With This.

Hi all.

I am having a major problem in setting up Windows "ME".
All the files were listed in 'List' mode and the icons were aranged in 'Name' mode meaning that they were alphabetically listed.
However, they seem to be appearing in no order at all. The alphabetical listing has completely gone wrong.

I've tried everything such as going into Folder Options and restoring the settings etc but to no avail.
Everytime I close Windows Explorer and open it up again the listings have lost their alphabetical order list.

Any help on this matter? I don't want to keep going into Arrange Icons everytime I open a folder!!!

But Everytime i turn off my pc and yurn it on again
i get the same problam and auto arrange is no big help to me
just for one transaction.

This sounds like another win ME problem,
i use ME on 1 of my PC`s as it is only used for downloading stuff, i would try and update ME if you have not already, failing that.. try reinsatlling it..

You Know everytime i want to save a pic or song
or etc all my floder is mixed up and i have to go throw
all folder to find the one i want. else no it dosen't bother
me at all but why not fix the danm shit if we could.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, reset the default sort order:

1. Right-click Start, click Explore, and then click drive C.
2. On the View menu, click Details.
3. Click the Name column to sort items by name, press and hold down the CTRL key, and then quit Windows Explorer by clicking Close in the upper-right corner of the screen.
4. Release the CTRL key.
5. Restart your computer.

NOTE: You must perform these steps exactly as they are listed. For example, do not quit Windows Explorer by clicking Exit on the File menu.

Got to agree about WinME though - it's shite - although that problem Peyans got can happen in any version of Windows to be fair.

NT4, 2000 & XP are a long way ahead of the 9x platform..
