For the record, you cannot play it without the pad, 'PlaYaZ187'. Which is why it's sold bundled together.

But anyways: Seems like a strange release, but if you were to lose your disc or whatever, you'd be kind of SOL. So when the US one comes out, yeah... I may have to back mine up.

There could be a way to buy the pad sepearately for less money. There could be a hack to use a keyboard instead. Anything is possible. This is not a pointless release.

I'm sure that Capcom will not sell the controller separate. It would only defeat the security on the only true anti-pirate game for the Xbox.

Maybe in the future a controller manufacture might but it's unlikely.
