      Gonna nip down the shop tommorow and buy an x box, but i don't wan't one thats made after august 8th. Any way off seeing on the box? Newbie question im sorry

      It says on the box / console - just ask to see it first and check the date - say you're gonna chip it for imports

      there's a hole cut into the box packaging on the reverse side. the date of manufacture is visible thru this.

      (i know that sounds like another piss take reply after tef89's but its not!)

      bought one the other week from Currys and it was made in March so I guess some places have plenty of stock they couldnt clear!
