Moving pst Files

1. To move the location of your pst file/s, Outlook needs to be closed.

2. Locate your pst file.

The defaults locations are:

Outlook 2007

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

Outlook 2010

"
Outlook Files in your "Documents" folder.

3. Cut and paste the pst to it's new location.

4. Restart Outlook.

5. You will be asked for the location of the pst-file. Simply browse to the new location.

ensure you select the same pst-file or you’ll corrupt your mail profile

overwriting a pst could lead to file corruption



Note
storing a pst file on a mapped network drive is not advisable and is unsupported by Microsoft
