Default Does anyone else here find Mario Sunshine a bit annoying

Upon playing this game for a few days Im beginning to find a few things annoying.

The camera angles are forever taking on a life of their own.

The tightropes have no way of knowing if your directly above and one fall on certain parts means starting over again.

Some of the levels its almost impossible to work out exactly what your meant to be doing. The game manual does not show you every move that mario can actually do.

I think the game could have picked up on Mario 64's little bugs and improved . I think I will stick to playing Luigi's Mansion.

The thing about mario sunshine is that you do not rely on the auto camera angle, you get used to controlling the camera manually using the right stick. At first it takes some getting used to, but after a while, honestly it's a tremendous system and it just becomes second nature. Keep at it, and you will start to love it

agread with _Belial, just use the c-stick to control the camera, for tightropes if the rope is running down the center of youre screen then its a dodle. if you talk to the people and watch the intro for the levels it shouldnt be that hard really.

stick with it, its the best game in years

I have been using the yellow C stick but at times for no reason the cam will shift and your behind the wall etc and all you see is marios shadow which if your near ledges etc is a pain.

BTW how do I beat the guy in the cannon at the top of the first Noki Level.

Yep - camera can get stuck at times. If you're really unlucky, you have to move to free it - not helpful if you can't see where you are.

That aside, it is very good - but can be bl**dy hard at times. Some of the void levels are evil.

WARNING - SPOILER (How to kill man in cannon in Noki)...

When you get to the guy in the cannon, he will throw timebombs at you - squirt them to turn them blue then throw them back at him. Repeat until dead

When I first started playing... I too was having a few problems with the camera.. now because I have stuck with it, it IS second nature now..

Similar to Mario 64, you have to constanly move the camera yourself.. which actually ADDS to the game in someways.

The more you stick with it, the more you'll be able to whizz about each level with out using any thought! timimg jumps and tight ropes with ease.

There are a few annoying things though...

1 Where the hell has the YAHOOOOOoooooo jump gone out of mario 64?

Rememer? run and press Z to skid and then jump??

2 FMV in a MArio game?? arrrgh!
    3 FULDDs Voice!
4 and.. Why cant I hand stand in trees anymore? BOO!

Apart from that.. I love it! and the camera DOES come second nature in the end!!

tricky one, leave the red coin in the middle till last, as when you get that the bird will start to rotate, carefully step onto the side as the birds rotating, wait till it straightens out, and jump for the last one.

The Yahoooooo jump, as in the tripple jump?

You can stand on palm trees leaves...

The camera does become second nature, buts its always trying to get behind you, which can be annoying for those times when you want it locked in one position. (Like to the side for platform jumping, or in front.) The snap camera button is damn handy though...

Now if I could only get those 8 fruxing red coins on that dammmn pirate ship....

Yazmon - ignore the ships and climb as high as you can and use the fludd to get the coins.

If I remember right you only use the ship for two coins, the one on the ship itself (duh !) and the highest one.

i totally agree i to have experienced all those problems and thought it was just me . . it somehow lacks that special feel SM64 had - or maybe its me just gettin older.

im giving it some time tho - i can see it is one excellent game
