      Once upon a time I was told the Xbox was going to be multiregion - only the software would contain terrtorial lockout.

      Was any of that true?

      Not sure but could be - its mulitregional now with the DVDX software so I guess so.

      software writers were given the option of making their games region free, none did as they can rip far more money out of joe public if they are region specific, dvd regions would legaly have to be enforced. Unless of course someone found a way around it
