Default When using 'xbcopy', how do you know which directory is which game.

When using 'xbcopy', it creates directories such as 'e:\games\xbcopy000'.

Is there any way to easily tell which game is in each directory.

The Evox 'AutoAddItem' feature some how manages to get the name of the game.

Its not a problem when you have a default disk, as you will only have a handful of games, but I am just about to upgrade the HD and could consiquently have many games.

If you don't know which directory each game is in, there is no way to know which one to delete when you need space.

This is one of the flaws with xbopy, I've had the same problem.

Why couldn't they have taken the disc title from the disc inserted and used that. The game title is actually in the .xbe file.

One solution I can think of, is to use Boxplorer, step into the directory called xbcopy01 and run the default.xbe file in there. You should then be able to see what game it is. Then using the boxplorer, you can rename the directory to match the game.

It's a bit of a pain to do, but once it's done, after adding another game, you can then rename the only xbcopy directory to the name of the game.

    I found something interesting.

In the root directory (c:\) there is a file call "list.txt".

Its apparantly created every time EvolutionX starts up and is a list of all of the 'autoadditems'.

In this file, it will tell you the directory and name of the game.

Then, if you rename the directory and reboot, the 'list.txt' file gets updated.
