can someone please go through the procedure of how i can install xbox live succesfully

i have evox runnin g so right now MS dashboard is msdashboard.xbe

i put it back to xboxdash.xbe before then ran uc but it ****ed my xbox and it couldnt even finish showing that flubber kinda thing animation
