i got me a new 8310 gsm.

its lock for my service peovider.

now..
if i'll buy a data cable for this phone ? will i be able to unlock it ? or i need to buy an unlock kit for it.

2.i have another sim from other network... is there any way to copy 2 different sim's on 1 sim ? and use both lines on the same phone ??

if yes... how ?

1) Yes, You can unlock it using the datacable and the right programs.
2) No and Yes, You can copy 2 diff SIMs on 1 SIM but you wont be able to use 2 diff numbers @ the same time [Not 100% sure] lol GSM Genius RudeYute will know

Hi,

Type *#0000# and if the top line says v5.56 or lower, then yes a datacable can unlock it. v5.57+ however, it cannot.

You could use 2 SIM Cards in the phone, but would have to switch between them - use a dual sim holder for this.
You cannot have both in and on, using the same phone though.
Wouldn't try copying any of the newer SIM's - will only destroy them.

so you saying no use to buy a data cable ??

Hi,

You either unlock using dongle/box protected cable, or downgrade and unlock.
