Just having a look through the nominations for the top 100 Britons, some are just a joke!

David Beckham
Boy George
John Peel
Robbie Williams
and Bono?? Thought he was Irish??

Just because theyre not dead doesnt mean they dont deserve to be in the top 100... but boy george?

2000yrs of british history and the best that they can do is john peel and boy george---they are both honest enough to admit they shouldn,t be in there.

What has being dead got to do with it? David Beckham and Robbie Williams as a great briton? They simply dont have the right to be in the top 100. Well, thats my opinion anyway.

powell gave a warning that is coming true

about attempted forced racial integration and the breakdown of british society.

cookson has provided a sh!tload of litrature (that i wouldnt touch with a bargepole), but it is read by millions and therefore has had an effect on many in this country.

owen as with cookson has had a positive effect on many peoples lives although many do not know who he is. Those of us who knows what he has done greatly appreciate the work that he has done.

as i said originaly they have all had a good effect on great britain in one way or another, far more so than those listed in the first post.

i bet the bbc are really pissed off now - no-one 'multi-cultural' or 'inclusive' in the top 10!

ABC your right about Powell my grandads all remember his speeches andI reading about them and its sadly it is true what he said.

Top britons should be Pioneers, inventers, rulers, leaders.

not sportsmen or sportswomen, or entertainers ffs.

and if maggie thantcher is in the top 10 im outta here , never coming back!!!
