    Default Veterinary Medicines.

The Competition Commission is looking into the cost of prescription only veterinary medicines in the UK. If you have a pet then it is in your interest to respond to this investigation.

I have replied having been able to buy eye ointment for my dog in France at almost half the cost of it here. Optimmune from my vet costs £27.40 + VAT for a 3.5mg tube. The identical product in France cost me 26 Euros - just less than £16.00.
