need help selfbooting MVC2

I wanted to change the music in this game so i used isobuster to get the files off the cd, i went through and changed the music to what i want. kept the file names the same and it played properly in the Cineplayer. I used the echelons sb tutorial and all the steps went fine. so i have my cd burned, all the files are on there. it loads on the DC, gets to the SEGA screen and restarts on me!! wtf am i doing wrong? ive tried using both cdrwin and cdrecord to burn the XA track. any help is greatly appreciated.

Use an IP.BIN from another game. For whatever reason selfbooting the KALISTO release with the included IP.BIN makes it crash on boot.

Incidently, I have ripped and selfbooted my MvC2 PAL GD-ROM with no problems at all. I guess it was just a bug in the US release or something that KALISTO did.

I extracted the original non-booting release of MvC2 and used Echelon's self booting tutorial to create a self booting version. It works great.

But it doesn't work and it's a known issue. Use IP.BIN from another release.

Swapped the IP.BIN from NHL2002 and used it for MVC2 and it still keeps restarting on me. Tiesto i had the Zerosity rls i think i mightve had to use Bin2boot on that.

Zeroisty had hacked 1ST_READ.BIN to 11701, that's one thing I remember.
