It's worth buying the original mate.

I don't think it (PES2) is as good as WE6 personally - something just doesn't feel right. Perhaps I havn't played it enough still caught up in my Masterleague in WE6.

I got the original game mate. It's just that i'm going for a christmas vacation to my brother in the carribean and there they don't sell the game, and their system is NTSC.

Although I admit PES2 is by far the best gameplay wise, I find myself playing FIFA2k3 more, as it looks a darn sight nicer and has all official licences. As PES is now widely regarded as the king of footy games and has been for a while, why don't konami stop being tight and splash the cash. Ie proper kits, proper players names and some decent commentary. Then it truly would be the daddy and probably never bettered. Just a side note on the appaling commentary on the PAL version, most people say quite rightly the Jap commentary on WE6 is better by far. Don't you think that's just because we can't understand it? If we could, we may well find it's just as crap as the english version!

I know it's a bit lame but I also prefer the official licenses that Fifa holds. I would actually buy fifa 2003 just for that if it wasn't for it's slowdown.

Yeah I noticed the slowdown, usually when it gets a bit hectic in the box. Still, it speeds up again once it goes over the half way line!!

I think the slowdown happens more when you have it on the fastest setting. When I rented it out I played it on the normal speed.

Can't see why not, the xbox does not use dedicated servers like the ps2 will so I'm sure you'll be able to play anyone on any format.

just played it on ps2, and my views are the same as you all, gfx are sweet, giggs looks almost life like, good skills and animation, gameplay has to be teh best of all fifa's so far and so it should be it took em till 2003 to do it ! lol

pes2 still has my vote, maybe fifa 2050 will be somewhat good, i hope

Bin playing PES2 quite a bit the last few days, and the one thing above all that really really spoils this otherswise great game is the referees!! I know is an age old cliche about dodgy refs in football, but this is one aspect konami made a little too realistic. Every foul caused by a sliding tackle is punished nigh on every time by at the very least a yellow card, more often a straight red, even in the first minute of the game! The only time you don't seem to get cards is when you've had a couple sent off and yer players already on a yellow. The ref don't seem to get out the second yellow then. It's got to a point where I don't even use the sliding tackle and how realistic is that? I really hope that konami address this for the next installment or at least put an option in to change the referees strictness, as it's this frustrating element above all others thats pushing me towards FIFA 2003 now that the FIFA series has some playability.

I've been following the ISS serious since the SNES days and all the way through PS1 and 2...god knows how many hours have been spent with m8's enjoying this game.

Just played PES2 around my mates last nite and left @5.30am this morning after 3 of us were on the same team and beat Real Madrid with Glenn Roader's West Ham on hard level...i guess that says it all!!!

@coogy i also found the refs to be fecking harsh!!! we beat Real Madrid with 8 men!!! lol
