Read this a few days back, just thought i'd mention it...

Freeloader has a date!

Yes thats right, the Datel Freeloader now has an official release date. It's not too far away either... The 8th of November (2002, doubters)

This is the first release date that Datel have actually released for the Freeloader so it might actually happen this time!

Must say I dont have a GC but having just sold my PS2 to get out of games I'm tempted back in by the GC.

The Codejunkies shop does inded say pre-order for November 2002, I have no idea if there was a date there before but it looks promising

was speaking to a store that actualy claimed they got 1 delivery in august, but they said the got a call to box and return immediatly as they didnt work, no idea if its true or not

You can't get a GC to play any region games hence everyone waiting for this

Don't hold you breathe waiting for the freeloader - we've seen release dates before and I'm sure we'll see some more

The premodded cubes will only allow U to play Jap an US games, not PAL (Euro). The modded Q does the same too with the addition of any region DVD AFAIK.

I'm not going to trust any release dates until I see it for myself, in the shops.

Well after many attempts I finally got through the Datel Technical support phone line.

The lady on the phone informed me that there is a 4 to 6 week delay on the release. (This information was passed on to Datel staff this morning after a meeting about the product). Apparently they need to iron out some 'glitches' with the Freeloader product.

So I'm guessing a pre or post-Christmas release.

I asked her if it was ever going to be released and she said "It is 100% certain it will be".

So there you go. Dunno if I believe it though!
