Something big from Nvidia next weekend

As part of my work (in IT) I was speaking to a company today who are building some machines for Nvidia to demo the new NV30 (this company specialises in bespoke PC hardware).
He wouldnt go into detail, but he said the systems they were building were for a for something Nvidia are releasing next weekend and it would be big news. Not only info about the NV30 but something else.
Something to speculate about I suppose

I've already got the ATI r9700 Pro (which I love), but I know already that once the specs come out for the nv30 I'm gonna find it very hard to resist it's predictable charms

Hmm I don't think this is it. From what my contact was saying it seemd like an official announcement on something from Nvidia was coming, not only on NV30 but something else was the feeling I got.
Keep your eyes peeled over the weekend maybe.

From what I've heard the announcement will come next week. There's a showcase on the 18th where the nv30 will be displayed and the new name announced.
