xp pro and unlocking 3330 help please

tried unlocking my 3330 useing RolisFlasher478b6, also used a port program called userport, still no luck getting phone detected the software just says switch phone off.

borrowed parallel phone lead and connector from a friend, but since changeing over to xp neither him or me has got it to work.

why bother flashing it if youre only unlocking it
just use eeprom tools only takes a few seconds and works fine with xp pro as I use it myself no problems
