now with these new fangled consoles are we going to be a few pc game players or are we the last the reason i say this is because we now ave the ps2 the xbox the game cube good console im not daughting it (even tho i dont like consoles much)

this started when i heard vice city was being relised on the ps2 and i ave no infomation that its going to be out for the pc (can some 1 answer this?) but not olny that when GTA3 was released on the ps2 long before the pc a good few months
im unsure which came first the chicken or the egg (erm rong quetion) the pc or the ps1 i am saying the pc had gta first but i ave been told the ps1 had it but after that relise and its gr8 success i belive that the serivce pack no.1 the only 1) gta london 1969 was releised at the same time (but cant be sure ) for both platforms but then the long wait for gta 2 that again was relised at the same time if im right (maybe?) but GTA3 Noooo thats on the ps2 first out on the ps2 long b 4 the pc and now vice city is it going to be out on the pc?
but we are not the only 1s sufering are we?
why if less and less games are made will we need better computers? u anit gonna need a 3gig cpu (maybe a bit far off atm) if all pc games ave died and are on conloes that cant be updated cheaply and easyly as the pc because wots left to use a pc for
1. porn (theres only a certern speed movies can play at and pics load quick enught atm)
2. films so ? with bb every where things can be dl burned and into the dvd player that so cheap now
3. word proccesing lets face it a better computer u anit gonna type quicker are you? spell check quicker i ave a xp1700 runs just fine (it did on my 233 a few years back)
4. the internet same as pictures load fine now not worth spending shit loads of money to get the best computer when its the connection thats needed the most

so! if computer games die and we move to consoles im sure a lot allready do but as i said i dont like consoles cant use there controllers only 1 i liked was the snes and im sure theres a few who dont like the conlose and the price for that 200 quid (would inscrease if no 1 made pc games ) u can get a GOOD mobo and cpu or a shit load of memory

so y update your computer if not to get the latest computer game
so the computer sits in the coner being used less and less the manfuters stop production of the new mobos cpus and memeroy
and if u want to play a game online u ave to conect the xbox or wot eva to the bb cos a 56k u anit gonna get a good game outta it and all ppl like microsoft start chargin to connect to there servers (and gamespy type things) and where as now all u need is 2 computers and there ips!

i ave a better computer than the xbox or the ps2 companys could make much better games for the pc that cost more (i do suport the dont buy games weeks ) because of more effert put in and controlers arent a prob are they u can buy a little adaptor for ur usb so u can connect an xbox ps2 controllers to it so the usb could cope with controllers theres a soddin game port on most ppls sound card (never new why? they put it on the soundcard)

so u got the xbox spec at
xbox 733, 64mb, geforce3, 8Gb, 10/100 ethernet
and the ps2 spec at
ps2 300MHz, 32Mb
emotion engine gfx chip
then the pc spec at
well wot eva the highest cpu again the bets mobo against the best gfx against the best and highest mem

ddr 512 mb
gef4mmx440 64mb (with the to little fans on lol)
mobo is summit but cant rember


so if you wanted u could make a game that min spec was say 1gig 128mb mem and 32mb gfx fuk it 64mb which would be a lot better than the ps2 or the xbox

Mate - I am a big PC games fan, in fact I play more of them that on the Xbox, PS2 etc - but you logic on the specs is flawed. Console are dedicated hardware and they dont ahve to run windows as an operating system at the same as a game - that why PC's are so memory hungry.

Its like comparing a motobike to a car and saying - my car is 1100cc engine and that bike is only a 800cc - my car should be able to go as fast.... The car has to carry more (e.g- windows)

Also all the usual stuff about you can optimise on Consoles alot easier because not having to program for different graphics cards sound cards etc. -And when you write a PC game you have to decide what is the most popular CPU speed so most people will buy it - if you write a game that needs a 2.8gig CPU most people wont be able to buy it.

pc games r far much better than console games, altho games like vice city and mgs2 r worth having a ps2 for, mario and res evil worth having a gc for, halo and col mcrae worth having an xbox for
pc games r mostly recognised for fps'd, unreal, avp, moh, but on installing some games on mates pc today, i found that harry potter 2, need for speed hp2, hitman 2 all cream on any console version :
if your willing to spend the cash keeping your pc upgraded to play all the games your in for the treats and u can tell people with console's to fook off lol

yeh but people are makeing less and less pc games and optiong to go on cosoles and yes windows is carryed on pcs and i no it eats the mem but surly they no how much it eats ad makes the game to fit thats y you can get high spec games but arnt high spec (cos of windows) but i ave to say i think the ppl who play the pc games the most ave to be kids i use to play a shit load on pc when i was younger but i got older now i dont as much

and if kids are the ppl who play the most games most of them are gonna own package pcs from places like currys and dixsons which ave a 2gig cpu 256-512 mb ram and a 32mb gfx dvd player and cd-rw but change the gfx to 64mb plus and u got a gr8 computer
and that costs about wot ? 350-450 which isnt much more and more ppl buy theses so the gameing world could bring out better pc games and ppl like me who build there own would upgrade because ya not that far off n e way a new cpu or stick of mem or gfx and if some good games came out like vice city for pc (n e news of that if its out on the pc?) or summit just as good that could run the pcs hard...a year from now im sure the majorty of the pc gamers and i dont mean ppl who play 1 or 2 games on the pc but play alot will ave a cpu of over 2gig most ppl already do and surely that windows will start to be only a samll amount of ya system spec where pc games could be made better faster

most of the ppl who play games like ut or gta are from 18+ simple because of age on the games which allready have kick ass machines

most kids have consoles not PC's and 2gig PC's from Dixons dont cost 350 quid. Console games out sell PC games masssively all around the world - in japan PC's sell almost nothing compared to the consoles.

I can see your point Cam, but so far so good... the online gaming is all on pc still... theyve been tryin it with the xbox that i know of and if the rumors are true its gonna cost ya a few good dollars to be able to play online, ie.. pay ms for the service... what a bullshit service that is thenm, hahaha...

Secondly... try and play a rpg on a console... i had C&C retaliation on psx1 cos it didnt make it to the pc... and must say.. movin the troops, building, playing overall with the controller was a total failure, lol... cant beat the old mouse/keyboard combination

Third... there are several games that they make for the PC and not for consoles... and i meen lots of em, lol...

They still release a good amount of stuff for the pc, many of em are sheite, but a good 5% of em gets a thorough look at by yours truly...

To end my rant... consoles suck... pc's rock... online gaming is heaven...

u whacked kid.. ! as long as pcs are being sold .. that means games will be made 4 them,.. the consoles arent versitile enough to "takeover" PCs... think about it !? PCs will always be on top... a console is like a ... break kind of!? for ppl who cant be fkd loading up their pcs and waiting 2 play their game..

sure PC games are requiring higher sytem requirents .. but they look much much sexier than any console game...

pc's r the top form for gaming just not many people can afford to keep upgrading all the time therefore get left behind, like the whacko's who buy there comp's from pc world lol
u tell people what parts they need, u give them a price, u say i can get and build for u, then they go to pc world and pay £1200 for a pc that would have cost them £700 tops, and then they cannot upgrade it either lol
