    Default YES!!!!! UAEX - Amiga emulator for the XBox

    Now this I've been waiting for - someone has ported UAE over to the XBox.

    They have also set up a project on Sourceforge to help develop:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/uaex

    Saw the news over at Xbox-Scene - I've been waiting for this one for ages - thanks to whoever wrote it

    Now to try those Amiga games again....

    ..:: Edit ::..

    Shit! Looks like the call to default.uae (the config file) has been hardcoded to the cdrom drive - I can't test now cos I've got to be up for work early - if any of you get chance to confirm before I get home from work tomorrow could you please post here??

    I've mailed the developer so I'll see if he can confirm it..

    Cheers

    d'oh I'm a spacker!

    I've spoken to the guy who wrote this, the emulator actually virutally maps everything to the d drive, so no matter where the files are on your hdd the roms are in d:\roms and the disk images in d:\disks

    Works a treat, managed a quick blast before work this morning and it's looking top drawer!!

    0.3 is out now so i'm about to install that after i've grabbed a beer

    remember guys, you may need to patch this one to work in a retail xbox, i did......

    ..:: Update ::..

    This is quality, have just tried the old Desert Dreams & Phenomena Enigma demos, work a treat, and have just tried out Chaos Engine, Cannon Fodder 2 and some others - all work great!

    Who needs XBox games when you've got an Amiga Emulator & most of Tosec

    yep, been years since I've seen the guru meditation!

    Now I can try all the old Grapevine mags & I need to find where I put that arsewipe demo (it's funny as ****!)

    cannon fodder is going to get some hammer along with sensible soccer

    everything runs in here at the exact same pace that UAE handled it on a real pc, i just need to play with the config file to get lotus 2 working...

    Slightly off topic, but if you want demomusic go to Nectarine (My personal favourite chip tune ever!)

    For old and new demos a good place is Pouet.

    I did exactly as you did, then when the insert disk2 thing came up I just pressed either X or A (cant remember if it was mouse click or joy click) and a few seconds later it carried on.

    you could try just running it off 1 floppy drive, when it asks for disk2, press start then insert the 2nd ddisk into df0: it wont reset the amiga

    Damn, I hoped it would be something else, I have tried pressing both those buttons, After a while it goes to a black screen then crashes.

    I probably better download a different version and see if that works.

    Cheers for that mate, i will let you know how i get on.
