Audio t MP3 with nero

I am trying to copy cd audio to mp3 so I can save on my CDs. I can do this with CDCOPY but want to know if it can be done with NERO. I have tried looking thru help file and tried playing about, but I am having difficulty with this.

I want to be able to burn these audio tracks as MP3 onto my hard drive.

Can this be done with NERO, if so can anyone help me or point me to a site that can.

I am not sure if this can be done with Nero.

What i do is extract it to .wav format and then compress it to MP3.

CDex is an excellent freeware audio ripper, I use it to MP3 all my CD's, get it from :

In nero goto the "recorder" menu. then select "save track"

choose the tracks u want to save and wot format to use (mp3/mp3pro)

U will need the mp3 plugin as nero only lets u save 30 mp3's but this can be found all over net (check kazaa)
