I ran the first command first, didnt work, then I ran all 4 commands followed by the first one. Still didnt work.
Tried the test.php file but had the same error messages.
Sorry for the blackout Got called out with work last night.
I've PMd you with another suggestion. Might be worth keeping it all in the main thread though in case anyone else has any suggestions so I'll post it here too :
----
I did a bit of fiddling late last night whilst on a conference call about something else and one thing I did find was an entry in php.ini that gives the same results.
if you look in C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP5 and open php.ini
find the line that starts with extension_dir and post your results here. I have a feeling that it is configured wrong and this is causing the problem.

The result I get is:
extension_dir ="C:\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP5\ext"
Please tell me thats wrong
hmm... Well, I have this :
extension_dir ="C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP5\ext"
As my plesk is installed in Program Files... If yours is then I would change it to be the same. If your install is in C:\Parallels then your's is set correctly.

mine is installed in c: not program files, the ext directory exists and there is a load of files in it.
Is it worth totally uninstalling php? or is that going to cause me more problems?
If I uninstall is it something easy to install? from what I've seen around it seems to be a bit of a nightmare to install.
Bah Was hoping that was the one. php needs to be able to see the files.
One quick fix may be to copy the files from C:\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP5\ext into C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP5\
Like all good apps the exe should first check it's local directory before looking anywhere else so this may be a workaround but not a fix. Might be worth a try.

If I was to uninstall php and then reinstall it using the ms web platform installer would that install it in plesk as well or would I need loads of pissing around with it?
Hmm... I would go there as a last resort to be honest. It certainly appears to be that php is unable to run because it doesn't know where to look for it's DLLs.
Bear in mind that when you install Plesk it installs a few other things. One of which is PHP but it configures it to work with everything that it needs to. As you are getting the error running PHP from a command prompt it will be a problem with that.
Can you possibly send me your php.ini file? PM is fine if you are worried about security or email lee@leeandgrace.co.uk and I'll take a look at it and compare with a few PHP installations that I have here.
